Starting the journey in Television content production with its first shows, ‘Bandhan’ and ‘Durga’ (2008), SVF has produced several other shows such as ‘Behula’, ‘Maa’, ‘Bojhena Shey Bojhena’ and ‘Potol Kumar Gaanwala’ which became household names and garnered highest TRP ratings.

Till date, SVF has produced 30 shows, with over 5000 hours of TV content – over 10000 Episodes – and counting. ‘Potol Kumar Gaanwala’, currently on-air, has won much love and appreciation from the viewers. Other popular shows – ‘Bhutu’, ‘Maa’, ‘Bojhena Shey Bojhena’, ‘Maa Durga’, ‘Goenda Ginni’, ‘Potol Kumar Gaanwala’ and ‘Premer Kahini’ – which aired on Star Jalsha, Zee Bangla and Colors Bangla – catered to audiences across age groups. Over 20% of Entertainment television viewers across West Bengal consume our content on a weekly basis.

‘Mahanayak’, inspired by the life of the Legendary ‘Uttam Kumar’ played by Prosenjit Chatterjee, is considered one of the biggest TV shows, in terms of production value and cast, establishing SVF Television as a key player in Bengal’s television industry. SVF Television’s productions have won awards every year, across various categories.

Currently, it has 3 serials on air – ‘Gopal Bhar’ and ‘Jai Kaali Kalkattawali’ – on Star Jalsha, and ‘Amloki’ – on Zee Bangla.

Apart from Television content production, SVF has successfully ventured into other businesses as well – Film Production, Film Distribution, Digital Cinema (Qube), Cinemas, Music and now New Media, with Hoichoi, the one stop destination for streaming Bengali entertainment, targeting Bengalis in India and the Bengali diaspora.
