hoichoi released the Official Trailer of Mohomaya – powerhouse actors Swastika Mukherjee & Ananya Chatterjee keep audiences captivated!

Kolkata, 16th March 2021: hoichoi just dropped the trailer of their much-awaited Original Series, ‘Mohomaya’ in the presence of the cast Swastika Mukherjee, Ananya Chatterjee and others, Creator & Co-Producer Sahana Dutta, Co-Producer Rohit Samanta, Director Kamaleswar Mukherjee and Sow Mentor & Editor Rabi Ranjan Maitra. 

With the biggest names in the industry coming together for the show, the series marks the digital debut of National Award-Winning actress Ananya Chatterjee and Director Kamaleswar Mukherjee. Mohomaya also sees acclaimed storyteller Sahana Dutta turn Creative Director and Co-Producer for the show apart from writing the story, screenplay, dialogue and lyric for the series.  

The trailer dives deep into the character of Rishi, played by Bipul, whose past is a deep ocean of secrets revolving around his deceased mother, Maya. When he meets Aruna, his classmates’ mother, Rishi finds the affection he longed for all his life. What initiates as a motherlike bonding soon turns to a compulsive obsession destructing the lives of a perfectly normal family. 

The impressive trailer was well received by the media who were stunned by the brilliant performances of the three co-leads (Swastika Mukherjee, Ananya Chatterjee and Bipul). The trailer leaves one in a cliff-hanger and exquisitely captures the internal turmoil of Rishi, the protagonist of the show. Interestingly enough, Bipul, was missing from the event, the makers introduced Rishi, his character, through a video. 

Speaking about the trailer and the show, the multifaceted and talented Swastika Mukherjee said, “Mohomaya is more than a story of attraction towards the mortal things as the name suggests, it is a story of human bonding and relationships, of vulnerability, of the ruthlessly orthodox family values, of wants and desires, and the cravings to be loved, cared and noticed.
