With this trailer, our aim is to delve deep into the complexities of human emotions and present a modern interpretation of Shakespeare's timeless tale. Through this film, we hope to evoke profound emotions and reflections." Anirban Bhattacharya, who plays Gogo (echoing Iago from Shakespeare's original work) and serves as the Creative Director, expressed his sentiments, "We were clear from the beginning on how to create this Shakespearean world. Aug 25, 2018

Kolkata, 25th August 2018:  SVF has become well-known now for its innovative conferences and events. Now, they are bringing together two of the biggest names in the industry – Abir Chatterjee and Jisshu U Sengupta for a 50 days to go for Durga Pujo special chat along with Byomkesh Gowtro director, Arindam Sil and Ek Je Chhilo Raja co-star, Anirban Bhattacharya.

Both films are slated to release on 12th October, 2018 and are considered to be two of the biggest pujo releases.

Byomkesh Gowtro, directed by Arindam Sil is inspired from the story ‘Rakter Daag’ of the Byomkesh series by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. It starts with a young man of 25 years who comes to Byomkesh’s Kolkata home, introduces himself as son of a business magnet from Landour, Mussourie and says he feels that his life is threatened. He wants Byomkesh to investigate the matter. The advance that he gives is too magnamous to be ignored. Byomkesh reaches Landour to find Satyakam and after a few days, as predicted, he gets murdered. Now, Byomkesh Bakshi has to solve the crime.

Abir Chatterjee will return as Byomkesh Bakshi in Byomkesh Gowtro. Arjun Chakrabarty will essay the role of Satyakam, and his father Ushapoti will be portrayed by Anjan Dutt. Sohini Sarkar will be seen as Satyabati again, and Rahul Banerjee as Ajit.

The other pujo release – Ek Je Chhilo Raja, is the story of Mahendra Kumar Choudhuri, the middle prince of The Bhawal Estate (also named as Bikrampur  Estate), who was affected by syphilis and was taken  to Darjeeling for treatment along with his wife, Chandrabati  Devi, brother in law, Satya and a family doctor, Ashwini. He apparently died in Darjeeling and was cremated there as well. However, after 12 years, a Sanyasi comes back to the estate where people start noticing him and a rumour spreads that he is the lost prince of Bikrampur estate.

Directed by Srijit Mukherji, Ek Je Chhilo Raja has an impressive cast consisting of Jisshu U Sengupta, Jaya Ahsan, Anjan Dutt, Aparna Sen, Anirban Bhattacharya, Rudranil Ghosh, Barun Chanda & Rajnandini Paul among others.

The chat was hosted by Shunyaa, Sharbari Dutta’s boutique in Hindustan Park, Kolkata. On the occasion, she also launched her womenwear line with models showcasing the collection.
