This Christmas will definitely be a cinematic treat for children, with Raj Chakraborty’s children adventure film releasing today. Titled ‘Adventures Of Jojo’, it revolves around Jojo, an energetic class seven student, who visits his uncle’s place in Baropahari. Here, he meets a local boy Shibu and an elephant Nonibala. Three of them bonds over a unique friendship and explore the forests of Baropahari, enjoying the wildlife there. Popular actor Joyjit Banerjee’s son Jashojeet is set for his cinematic debut playing the titular role of Jojo.
While Jashojeet is super excited about his first film, he also decodes the USP of ‘Adventures Of Jojo’. “The entire year we don’t have films that children can watch. But this is a children’s film all around and that’s what makes the movie different from others. There are plenty of thriller elements as well. Even, my school friends are very excited to see the film,” explained Jashojeet.
For director Raj Chakraborty, it’s not only an adventure film, it also focuses on friendship. “I have made almost all kinds of films, but making a children’s film like Tom Ling has always been my dream project. Though ‘Adventures Of Jojo’ mainly shows a lot about wildlife, it focuses on friendship as well,” said the ace filmmaker.
