Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan is all set for another double role in his ‘Naqaab’.
Shakib, for first time in his acting career, will appear in an Kolkata horror film.
Shakib will play both the protagonist Mass and his deceased father Shakti, who comes back to his son’s life as a troubled spirit.
While Nusrat Jahan will be seen as Disha, the love interest of Mass, Sayantika Banerjee will take on the role of Shakti’s wife and mother of Mass, Anuradha.
The title of Rajib’s film which stars Bangladesh superstar Shakib Khan, is Naqaab. The film also stars Nusrat Jahan and Sayantika Banerjee. This is the story of a character who cansee dead people, with whom he can communicate. Produced by Shree Venkatesh Films, the title of the film was earlier as ‘Mask’.
Things take an interesting and surprising turn, when Shakib meets a ghost which looks just like him because of whom he gets involved in a double murder. Inspector Jahangir starts an investigation and learns about his involvement in the crimes, making him a prime suspect. And in this, his friend Rahim, played by Rudranil, joins him. “Will Shakib be able to prove his innocence? Will the ghost gang support him till the end? What is the ultimate motive behind these murders is what the film all about,” said Rajib.
The makers have launched the trailer of ‘Naqaab’ and it looks every bit intriguing.
The film’s trailer, which was released on July 28 on YouTube, has been viewed more than 1,000,000 times.
The trailer promises an action-packed thriller with many twists, romance and even a touch of comedy. The return of Shakti as a spirit doesn’t actually give spine-chilling moments. Instead, it seems to be unintentionally funny, as per the trailer.
According to the narrative, Mass and his close friend (Rudranil Ghosh) are by profession, con artists. After an accident, Mass suddenly starts to communicate with ghosts and life becomes fun for him. That’s until he meets his deceased father Shakti, who in a shocking turn of events changes his life completely.
‘Naqaab’ also stars Kharaj Mukherjee, Ashish Vidyarthi, Bharat Kaul and Rajatava Dutta in pivotal roles.
The film, ‘Niqab’, will be released during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
