The theme song of Dhaka Metro is a treat to the ears!

[Dhaka, April 15, 2019] hoichoi, a leading Bengali digital platform, has started streaming its first Bangladesh Original web series – Dhaka Metro, directed by National Award winner, Amitabh Reza Chowdhury. To add on to the joyous occasion of ‘Pohela Boishakh’ , they have released the official theme song of Dhaka Metro titled ‘Shotta’ which features rapper, Towfique and it’s already an audience favourite!

‘Shotta’ has the voice of not only Towfique Ahmed but also Adit Rahman. The track has an energetic pace and tune, bringing together rhyme and rhythm to reflect the chaos and confusion of life. Adit Rahman’s music along with the words of Towfique Ahmend and Faisal Roddy, perfectly captures every being’s dilemma. It highlights the existential crisis of Kuddus, the lead played by Neville Ferdous Hasan, who struggles to find purpose, freedom and happiness in his monotonous urban-lifestyle.

Amitabh Reza Chowdhury’s Dhaka Metro is streaming now exclusively on the hoichoi App and Website. His production Half Stop Down presents the story of a man trying to break free of his monotonous urban lifestyle and rediscover himself. The unconventional web series, which also stars National Award winning-actor Aupee Karim and child actor Shariful Islam among others,  boasts of 9 unique episodes that depict different phases of a person’s life, namely: Relation, Alienation, Recollection, Exemption, Incarceration, Self-Regulation, Ennui, Delusion and The Last Journey.
