National Award-winning film Tarikh gets a ‘World Premiere’ on hoichoi

Kolkata, 30th April 2021: hoichoi released the poster of Churni Ganguly’s National Award winner and critically acclaimed film Tarikh on their social media, thereby announcing the World Premiere of Tarikh exclusively on the streaming service, starting May 8th.

In a bid to take the best of Bengali content globally, hoichoi is rolling out exciting content each month making our binge-watch sessions more and more entertaining. 

Tarikh is about the circle of life that looks into the lives and beliefs of three friends – an idealist, a realist and a conformist. Directed and written by National Award-winning Director Churni Ganguly, the film features a stellar line-up of stars including, Saswata Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Ritwick Chakraborty and Kaushik Ganguly amongst others.

Besides winning Best Dialogue at the 66th National Film Award, Tarik also won the Jury Special Mention Award at the 24th Kolkata International Film Festival. Additionally, it even won the Best Narrative Feature, Best Song, Best Indie Feature of 2019 at the Los Angeles Film Awards 2019. It also bagged the Best Editor, Best Actor (Female), Best Screenplay award at the Hyderabad Bengali Film Festival 2019. Moreover, Tarikh was also the official selection at the BRICS Film Festival 2019, Brazil.
