Guptodhon History Rap launched ahead of the film’s release
Kolkata, 24th April 2018 – Close to the release of SVF’s next film Guptodhoner Sondhane, the journey to embark on discovering the biggest Treasure Hunt of Bengal has even more interesting and endearing all because of the song called Guptodhon History Rap from the film released by SVF’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
The song is by famous composer Bickram Ghosh, and this is the first time he has ever sung for a movie or for an album. The music and background score is also by him, which not only brings forward an adventurous feel but also highlights the thrill of Guptodhoner Sondhane. The music video features Bickram Ghosh himself rapping the peppy number in a studio. It even includes intriguing shots from the film which stars Abir Chatterjee, Arjun Chakrabarty and Ishaa Saha in lead roles.
Guptodhoner Sondhane, which is scheduled to release this Friday on the 27th of April, is primarily about Subarna Sen aka Sona Da (Abir Chatterjee) the renowned History professor from Oxford, who has come to Kolkata for a short visit. The trio of Sona Da, Abir (Arjun Chakrabarty) and Jhinuk (Ishaa Saha) embark on the mission of searching the hidden treasure of Bengal. What they will realise is that the treasure is not just below the soil but present in the culture, literature, music, folk art, paintings and diverse stories. Will the valiant trio be able to fight off evil and overcome obstacles to unearth one of the greatest treasures of Bengal?
Rajatava Dutta happens to be an integral part of the film, as well. Sharing screen space with the trio in distinguished characters are three eminent directors, namely – Goutam Ghose, Kamaleswar Mukherjee and Arindam Sil.
Ecstatic about singing for the first time, Bickram Ghosh exclaims, “SVF and I go way back in 2015 when I did the background score and music for one of their films. This is the first time I have sung, not even sung, rapped that too with SVF only! I am keen to hear the reactions of Guptodhon History Rap. Maybe I will even consider singing more numbers in the future.”
