Kolkata, 21st May 2019 – Director Birsa Dasgupta, a frequent collaborator of SVF, is known for experimenting and taking up various genres to present distinctive stories in front of his audience. This time, he is coming out with a comedy caper titled ‘Bibaho Obhijaan’ (translation – A Wedding Saga).

With an impressive ensemble cast starring big household names like Ankush, Nusraat Faria, Sohini Sarkar, Rudranil Ghosh, Anirban Bhattacharya and Priyanka Sarkar to bring the story of two friends embarking on an adventure of conjugal life which takes hilarious twists and turns. It’s a playful tribute to the eternal ‘Tom & Jerry’ bonding between husbands & wives!

Emphasising on a “comedy of errors” feel, the official poster of Bibaho Obhijaan was unveiled today on SVF’s social platforms, marking a month for the film’s release (21st of June, nationally).

Bibaho Obhijaan is the tale of two friends – Anupam & Rajat, buddies since childhood, now exhausted with conjugal existence, lie to their respective wives Rai & Maya to run away for a breather of a holiday. Their quest for momentary freedom takes a jolt when they get kidnapped by dacoit Bullet Singh who’s trying hook or crook to make a name for himself so that his wife Malati who left him stating he’s worthless, accepts him back. Thus, begins our nonsensical comic adventure.
