Amazon Prime Video India announces exclusive partnership with Bengali Cinema’s Shree Venkatesh Films (SVF)

KOLKATA – November XX, 2016 – (NASDAQ:AMZN) – Amazon and Eastern India’s biggest production houses, Shree Venkatesh Films today announced a long-term association that will make Amazon Prime Video India the subscription video streaming home for several blockbuster hits and upcoming releases of Shree Venkatesh Films. Prime subscribers will have access to the July 2016 release, ‘Khawto’, directed by Kamaleswar Mukherjee starring Bengali Cinema superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee and Raima Sen in lead roles, premiering on Amazon Prime Video before its television premiere.

 

Available to Prime members will also be this year’s Durga Puja blockbuster hits – ‘Zulfiqar’, a film by Srijit Mukherji with a stellar cast including Prosenjit, Dev, Parambrata, Nusrat, Paoli, Jisshu amongst others and ‘Gangster’, directed by Birsa Dasgupta starring newcomer Yash Dasgupta with Mimi Chakraborty. With this association, Prime members will have unlimited access to this globally acclaimed content.
