Tnusree Chakraborty is happy that Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankarand his wife and children watched Gumnaami on Saturday at a city multiplex. “I met sir for the first time and it was indeed an honour that he took time off from his busy schedule to come and watch the film. He is so very humble and spoke to everyone. He loved the film too and spoke with us at length after watching the film,” said the actress. She added, “I am happy that Mimi (Chakraborty), Ankush and Oindrilla (Sen) came to watch the film too.”
Speaking about film, Tnusree said, “‘Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose did not die in the plane crash and is alive’ is a phrase that we have been hearing since childhood. Even today, when the whole country and media is pondering about the fact, Bose’s death remains a mystery. So, I guess that mystery is what made the audience go to the theatre to watch the film. The music by Indraadip Dasgupta, too, is being praised by all.”
Tnusree, who went for hall visits during Puja, said, “I loved the response from the audience and the best part was that they were saying that Srijit (Mukherji) had the guts to do a film like this.”
Other than Tnusree, the film stars Prosenjit Chatterjee and Anirban Bhattacharya in lead roles.
Talking about her Diwali plans, she said, “There is a puja at home on Diwali. Then friends come over to my place for dinner. Buying diyas is something I enjoy as I decorate my house with them.”
