At Hunar, works by designers who blend modern sensibilities with traditional Indian crafts will be up for sale. The pop-up has been organised by Paramparik Karigar, which was established in 1996 to promote and preserve the traditional art and craft in the country. From textiles and jewellery to clothing and bags, there is plenty to browse through at this show. Some of the participating brands include Taan Baan, Vriksh, Anka, Amrich, Soumitro Mondol, Pure Ghee Designs, Kora and Bodhi.
Anurag Naidu, a classical-turned-jazz pianist, who has worked with the likes of AR Rahman and Zakir Hussain, is all set to perform with his band tonight. The Anurag Naidu Trio comprises stellar musicians such as guitarist Sanjay Divecha (who was featured on the soundtrack of Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours and has performed at fests such as the New Orleans Jazz Festival) and drummer Adrian D’Souze (who has performed alongside jazz stars such as Roseanna Vitro, Eddie Gomez and Art Davis).
