Swastika Mukherjee plays a criminal lawyer in ‘Ami Asbo Phire’

In ‘Ranjana Ami Ar Asbo Na’ it was Parno Mittra, now it’s time for Swastika Mukherjee! Anjan Dutt has made another bold move in his upcoming musical drama ‘Ami Asbo Phire’. The upcoming Bengali film features Swastika, newcomer Darshana Banik, Anindya Chatterjee and Koushik Sen along with director Anjan himself.

As homemaker Shinjini in the recently released Bengali flick ‘Michael’, directed by Satrajit Sen, Swastika simply incorporated a classy appeal to her evergreen sari look along with her great acting prowess. We all know she has worked with Anjan in ‘Byomkesh O Agnibaan’ earlier.

In ‘Ami Asbo Phire’ Swastika plays the role of a criminal lawyer named Gargi, who hasn’t lost any of her cases so far. According to the story, she is currently busy fighting a legal battle involving rape. On the work front nobody is better than her but in personal life, she is totally devastated. As the film is a serious musical, songs play a big part in Gargi’s life and music somehow brings stability to her restlessness.

Swastika is quite excited about her role in Dutt’s next and she also thanked the director for making a film on this subject.
