Next two films in ‘Guptodhoner Sondhane’ series will not be sequels

The treasure hunt in ‘Guptodhoner Sondhane’ seems to be not just mysterious but also a thrilling and adventurous quest, that’s what the trailer promises. Our very own dearest Feluda from Sandip Ray directed ‘Badshahi Angti’ is ready to solve a case mixed with puzzling facts. The Abir Chatterjee-starrer Bengali flick revolves around the search for a Mughal era treasure.

The Dhrubo Banerjee directorial will release on 27th April and he has already promised there will be two more films in ‘Guptodhoner Sondhane’ series and each film will have different stories, not usual sequels.

In the first film, we will see Abir, not as a detective character, rather an established history professor Subarna Sen a.k.a Sona Da who goes to an old house and steps into a new journey full of secrets and puzzles. Arjun Chakraborty and Ishaa Saha who will take on the roles of Abir’s companions also join the quest. While searching for historical facts, these three discover some dark secrets about the house, hidden just like the long-lost treasure. What happens during the bumpy and dangerous journey is the main USP of this film.
