Muscat-born model debuts opposite Yash

A model by profession, she was born in Muscat and has been passionate about acting since childhood. And Sanjana Banerjee’s dream of acting has finally got wings, as she is soon going to debut opposite Yash in Pathikrit Basu’s Fidaa.

The young student of literature, who is currently busy shooting, is visibly excited. “I’m on cloud nine at the moment. I feel extremely fortunate to have got my first break opposite Yash,” she exclaimed.

After having spent most of her life in the Middle East, Sanjana decided to return to her roots and that’s when she bagged her first Tollywood project. Talking about her character in the film, she said, “I play Khushi, a bubbly college girl, who believes in love but is practical at the same time. This romantic film shows her journey from a young college girl to a mature woman. So, there is a lot of scope for me to show my acting prowess.”

Sharing the excitement of giving her first shot, Sanjana told us, “In my first shot, which happened on Tuesday, I had to explain what love is all about to a friend. I had goosebumps when I heard the word ‘action’. But I told myself that I have to do it!” On working with Yash and Pathikrit, she said, “Yash is extremely supportive and he is also giving me all the useful acting tips. And Pathikrit is very patient with me. He is giving me enough time to get into Khushi’s character.”
