Srijit confirms ‘Vinci Da’ sequel is on the cards

We all know Srijit Mukherji is a master of making nail-biting thrillers. ‘Vinci Da’ is the latest example. Recently the gripping thriller completed its 50 day run at the box office and it was celebrated at Nandan. And then the big news was announced which every Srijit fan was waiting for. Any guess? Well, the noted director confirmed the news of ‘Vinci Da’ sequel.

However, Srijit didn’t reveal what the story would be or will there be again the magic of prosthetic makeup. He has already started working on the script and this time also Rudranil Ghosh is a part of it. However, for ‘Vinci Da’ sequel Srijit is penning the story.

“Yes we are very much hopeful about the sequel. But it will take time. You all know the first film’s story is co-written by me and Rudra. For the second film, I am writing the story, but obviously Rudra is with me to give his feedback. Like Vinci Da, here also Rudra will be a key part. We can start the story from Jabalpur because in the first film we have seen Vinci Da and Jaya left for Jabalpur. May be the sequel will start from there. Beside DCDD Poddarbabu and Vinci Da, a new character will be introduced in the second film.”

‘Vinci Da’ which released on April 12 became one of the highest grosser at the Bengali box office this year. Ritwick Chakraborty, Rudranil Ghosh, Sohini Sarkar, Riddhi Sen all have received rave reviews for their outstanding performances.
