After the success of Durgeshgorer Guptodhon, Dhrubo Banerjee is a happy man. The director is quite satisfied with the kind of feedback he is receiving for his film.
When we contacted the director, he said that while adults are loving the film, Dhrubo is particularly happy about the feedback from the younger lot, who not only loved his film but are also euphoric about the return of the hit trio of Sonada, Abir and Jhinuk.
During the hall visits, he met many such youngsters, who were really excited about the characters of his film. “I think this is my best gain. If my films are leaving an impact on children, then I must be doing something right,” said Dhrubo.
Earlier, in a separate interview, Dhrubo had told us that he wants to explore the magic realism genre because that’s the only way to attract the younger generation towards Bengali theatre. “So, if that is happening, then I am truly happy,” he added.
In another incident, Dhrubo met a young couple who had come out to watch a film after a gap of five years. “They told me that they didn’t get the chance to watch a film because of their newborn son. But when they saw the trailer of Durgeshgorer Guptodhon, they knew that this was the film they could also take their son to. Such positive feedbacks leave me overwhelmed,” Dhrubo added.
Durgeshgorer Guptodhon is the sequel of Guptodhoner Sondhane and has the same star cast. Abir Chatterjee has returned as Sona Da, the energetic history professor, and Arjun Chakraborty and his friend, Ishaa Saha, are his close associates as usual.
