Mainak Bhaumik’s next to be a teen detective drama – read details

Crime thrillers and detective mysteries can never go out of fashion at least in the Bangla film industry! Mainak Bhaumik who is gearing up for the release of Bornoporichoy has already begun shooting for his next film which is a teen detective film. The film titled Goyenda Junior will see Rwitobroto Mukherjee in the lead role.

So what makes this film interesting? The actor-director duo is reuniting after Generation Aami, a coming-of-age film that sheds light on the generation gap between parents and children.

The film has gone on floors yesterday. The production house, Shree Venkatesh Films, took to social media to tease fans with a video featuring Rwitobroto. In the video, you can see his first-look as a detective. They captioned it, “Best wishes to Team #GoyendaJunior, as shoot starts today. But before starting the investigation, our Goyenda Junior #RwitobrotoMukherjee is still searching for his perfect look…What’s your pick?”

We hear that Goyenda Junior revolves around an orphan boy Bikram, a 16-year-old staying with his uncle who is a cop. He is a bright boy who loves to read crime thrillers.

On a related note, Mainak is awaiting the release of Bornoporichoy, a thriller, which stars Abir Chatterjee, Jisshu U Sengupta and Priyanka Sarkar in lead roles. The film is all set to hit the theatres on July 26.
