People never get bored of detective stories, especially we Bengalis. Also Bengal has a strange connection with detective characters from the literary world. Now, Mainak Bhaumik has come up with a new teen detective in his next ‘Goyenda Junior’. The movie sees Rwitobroto Mukherjee reuniting with Mainak as the titular character after creating a lot of buzz last year with ‘Generation Aami’.
The film hit the floors today (July 22) as the makers tried to up the curiosity bar among Bengali movie buffs with a video featuring Rwitobroto. It shows how the young actor is baffled with his first-look as a detective.
Rwitobroto plays an orphan boy Vikram, an ordinary 16-years-old staying with his uncle who is a cop. He starts assisting him in a criminal case and solves it with his sheer observation power. Bikram is also an intelligent and witty boy, who is good at studies and loves to read crime thrillers.
Meanwhile, Mainak is awaiting his next big release ‘Bornoporichoy’ which plots Abir Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta opposite each other for the first time. It also stars Priyanka Sarkar in a key role. ‘Bornoporichoy’ will hit the theatres this Friday (July 26).
