Here’s how Mimi prepared for her role in ‘Mon Jaane Na’

Mimi Chakraborty dons a never-seen-before avatar in her new release ‘Mon Jaane Na’. She plays a helpless girl Pari who is a victim of drug abuse. It must be difficult to pull off such a challenging character. So, how did she prepare for her character in the Shagufta Rafique directorial? The pretty actress admits it was definitely challenging. “I read up a lot, watched a number of documentaries. It was really challenging. Each day, after the shoot I used to feel completely drained. I would only want to go to sleep after pack up. At the same time, I was also doing promotions for ‘Villain’ along with my shows. And the next day I was back for the shoot. Frankly speaking, there were times when I used to forget where I have to go,” said Mimi who has just started her political career.

Giving a peek into her character in ‘Mon Jaane Na’ Mimi added: “I am playing Pari, a victim of drug abuse. The film shows how she comes out of it and what extent her husband can go to save her. Sharing screen with Yash is a pleasure always. He is a great actor and here he has beautifully broken his image.”

‘Mon Jaane Na’ hit the theatres on Thursday, March 21 and has so far received mix reactions from the audience.
