Bornoporichoy features Abir Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta together for the first time, with one playing an unhinged alcoholic detective obsessed with hunting down the other, a serial killer who kills for no apparent reason.
The official poster of Mainak Bhaumik’s upcoming thriller Bornoporichoy was released today on the occasion of International Language Day.
Bornoporichoy features Abir Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta together for the first time. Apart from the two stars, actress Priyanka Sarkar will be playing a crucial role in the film.
The poster suggests that the thrill in the film will revolve around the characters of Chatterjee and Sengupta, who are in a tug-of-war kind of equation with each other.
In the poster, both Chatterjee and Sengupta appear prominent amidst a dissolving crowd and the title of the film comes with the tagline Grammar of Death.
Though the director has revealed some details about the characters, it is not clear yet which character is being played by whom.
Dhanonjoy is an alcoholic detective who has lost his job, family and even his sanity in his obsession to hunt down Arko, a serial killer, who apparently kills for no specific reason. Through this story of chase, Bhaumik promises to explore the psyche of criminals and the ‘grammar of death’.
The film’s music has been composed by Anupam Roy.
Bhaumik will not only bring the two stars on screen together for the first time, but will also leave his mark in a genre that he has not explored yet.
Bornoporichoy is scheduled for release in the month of July.
