End of speculations, ‘Bornoporichoy’ to release on July 26

Mainak Bhaumik’s ‘Bornoporichoy’ which sees <strong”>Abir Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta sharing the screen for the first time is an intense thriller. Since its announcement last year, the thriller grabbed the attention of all the Bengali movie buffs, especially for the stellar cast. Produced by SVF, initially ‘Bornoporichoy’ was slated for a Puja 2019 release but now here’s a piece of exciting news. You don’t have to wait that long as the Abir-Jisshu starrer is set to hit the theatres on July 26.

‘Bornoporichoy’ revolves around Dhananjoy, an alcoholic thrown out retired detective department officer who lost his family, job and mind due to his obsession trying to solve cases involving meaningless killings by a serial killer named Arko. The crisis eventually leads to a gripping cat-and-mouse chase with viscerally exciting sequences. It’s a nail-biting adventure, a battle between good and evil. It’s also a roller coaster ride analyzing the grammar of death.

Beside Abir and Jisshu, the thriller also stars Priyanka Sarkar in the lead.

‘Bornoporichoy’ will be full of action stunts; that’s what the director had told us earlier: “I can’t always make same type of films. I used to complete my shooting in and around Dover Lane in my early films. But for this one I had to travel even Titagarh. It has plenty of action along with some intriguing blast and chase sequences.”
