Swapna Barman made history when she became India’s first heptathlete to win a gold medal at the Asian Games 2018. The runner from Bengal who struggled her way to glory will now witness a biopic been made on her by famous Bengali film director and national award-winner Srijit Mukherji. It is being produced by eastern Indian production company SVF.
The announcement of the biopic was made official on Twitter. Critically acclaimed actor Sohini Sarkar has been chosen to play the role of the athlete. The actor will be soon beginning her rigorous workshop to prepare for the inspirational role.
