Composed by Anupam Roy, the heart-warming love song ‘Gas Balloon‘ from Srijit Mukherji’s upcoming ‘Vinci Da’ is already a hit. The song features Rudranil Ghosh as Vinci Da, fondly called so by his peers, and his love interest played by Sohini Sarkar.

More than the composition, it seems endearing due to its visuals in which the actors are effortless in romance and the lyrics which shed light on the dreams of a simple girl who craves for love. But did you know ‘Gas Balloon’ could have used in Srijit’s 2018 hit ‘Uma’?

“I actually penned Gas Balloon in 2008. It became a popular song in our addas. Srijitda too loved it and he wanted to use it in one of his films. He had almost used Gas Balloon in ‘Uma’ last year. But finally it found its place in ‘Vinci Da’. It’s a romantic track but there is an unnerving element which haunts us. It has an unwanted character which can be anyone. The balloons in the song represent our happy moments. It sounds really fresh, especially the harmonica interludes. I always wait for this interlude to take off. Overall, I am so happy to see the song has been loved by the audience,” said Anupam Roy while speaking about the story behind ‘Gas Balloon’.
