Srijit Mukherji, who is busy with a handful of projects at the moment, shared the poster of his April release — Vinci Da — on social media. Quoting TS Eliot, he wrote: “April is the cruellest month.” The filmmaker, who admitted earlier that Vinci Da is a dark thriller with a lot of violence, shot the film a little after Durga Puja last year. The film is his third thriller after Baishe Srabon and Chotushkone; and it promises to have more layers than any of his previous films. Vinci Da stars Sohini Sarkar, Ritwick Chakraborty, Rudranil Ghosh and Anirban Bhattacharya in lead roles. Rudranil is a regular in his films and this will be his second film with Sohini and Ritwick, who were part of his Rajkahini and Nirbaak. With Sohini, Srijit has already announced another film — the biopic of heptathlete Swapna Burman who made the country proud by winning gold in the Asian Games. All praise for Sohini, Srijit had said how he has seen her mature as an actor over the years. Anirabn, on the other hand, was part of his last three films — Uma, Rajkahini and Ek Je Chhilo Raja. Apart from acting, Anirban also made his singing debut with Shah Jahan Regency.
