The much-awaited trailer of Byomkesh Hotyamancha launched!

Kolkata, 27th July 2022, Wednesday: As ‘Byomkesh Hotyamancha’ is gearing up for a massive theatrical release on 11th August, the makers have decided to go all out with the promotions and hence organized an innovative trailer launch event on 27th July 2022. The event starts off with a mime performance based on the theme followed by the trailer launch. Building the anticipation even further, the trailer starts off showing tumultuous Naxalite uprising Bengal of 1971, Byomkesh Bakshi gets involved in a story of vengeance when he decides to attend a play at the theatre and becomes witness to a crime unfolding on the center stage. The entire backdrop was performed through the mime act and Actor Abir Chatterjee aka Byomkesh Bakshi entered the stage taking the case up to solve and address the crowd at the trailer launch.

SVF’s and Camellia’s latest joint venture titled “Byomkesh Hotyamancha” already created an intrigue among the audience since the release of its official teaser and poster. Directed by Arindam Sil, the film stars- Abir Chatterjee,Sohini Sarkar,Paoli Dam, Suhorta Mukhopadhay & others. The music of the film is aced by the maestro Bickram Ghosh. The film’s story, which is inspired from an incomplete Byomkesh story ‘Bishupal Bodh’, has been further written and completed for the film by actor – director Arindam Sil and writer Padmanabha Dasgupta for the film. It will mark Arindam Sil’s fourth Byomkesh directorial.

The trailer launch event was touted to be a visual spectacle to the audience.

Along with the spectacular cast of Byomkesh Hotyamancha, actress Paoli Dam joined the Byomkesh franchise for the first time and holds a vital point in the journey of the film.

Abir Chatterjee, who makes Byomkesh coming back on big screens after 4 long years, found saying “The makers have been teasing the Byomkesh fans with a series of intense posters from the upcoming detective thriller. The recently released teaser also raised the bar high and now here’s the official trailer launch. The storyline is superbly blended even in terms of commercial aspect and we are waiting for the audience verdict too.”

Director, Arindam Sil, extremely positive about his fourth directorial, said, “This fourth Byomkesh directorial was altogether a different equation to solve. The additional details which were put in an already monumental inscription were very minutely thought. Anticipating the audience will shower the same appreciation that we received in my previous Byomkesh films.”

Byomkesh’s confidant Ajit played by Suhotra Mukhopadhyay in the film mentioned, “It feels great to be a part of such huge project and playing the role of Ajit is a dream come true. Byomkesh is a cult character be it in novels or big screen, and sharing the screen with Abir da under the guidance of Arindam Da was thoroughly a great learning process. As an actor I am really look forward on how the audience receives it and accepts my journey”.

Arindam Sil’s ‘Byomkesh Hotyamancha’ is scheduled to release on 11th August, 2022 during the Independence week.
