In the dynamic realm of streaming audio platforms and social media, Indie music has earned substantial acclaim. Last year, SVF Music introduced “Banglar Gaan Indies”, presenting a fresh soundscape with a new lineup of artists and songs tailored to resonate with the GenZ audience. This Indie initiative by SVF Music serves as an exploration of innovative song concepts and emerging musical talents, marked by the release of 4-5 independent songs every month in collaboration with new musicians.
The revival of the Bengali Independent Music sector this year places a central focus on showcasing young talents, including singers, lyricists, composers, and sound engineers. While acknowledging the contributions of national players like Prateek Kuhad and Anuv Jain, SVF Music strives to bring its own talents to the forefront. Visual creator-influencers have been enlisted to design unique posters for each song, adding a visual dimension to the campaign.
This time also we are gearing up with various new songs by following artists and engaging with young talents –

One standout contribution to this initiative is the collaborative masterpiece “Tumi Jaao,” featuring the renowned Ishan Mitra. Known for his exceptional playback singing in both Bengali and Hindi film industries, Ishan showcases versatility as the composer, audio programmer, and sound engineer for the track. This composition, led by Aviman Paul, stands out for its genre versatility, pushing boundaries of traditional composition and production. “Tumi Jaao” entices reflection on life’s journey with thought-provoking lyrics, complemented by a slow-paced, acoustic melody and captivating visual enhancements.

Another captivating piece in the lineup is “Shudhui Aaj Ekhon,” featuring Mainak Bhattacharya on vocals and Niladri Banerjee as the creative force behind the lyrics and composition. The song’s atmospheric immersion, incorporating authentic street sounds and rain ambience, distinguishes it. Niladri’s diverse musical exploration, coupled with the production skills of Samannay Samanta, Aryak Sen, and Jayanta Sarkar, creates a rich sonic experience that delves into various themes.
“Sawariya” presents the artistic prowess of Pralay Sarkar in composition and lyrics, complemented by the versatile vocals of Shovan Ganguly. The song seamlessly integrates stream sounds and echoes, adding cultural richness with the use of Brajabuli language. “Sawariya” weaves a vivid mental landscape for listeners with its thematic focus on a beloved, intertwined with natural imagery.
Song Name: Raat Holey
The dynamic duo of Debayan Banerjee and Anis Ahmed collaborates on “Raat Holey,” showcasing Anis’s multifaceted talent as a singer-songwriter, composer, and music producer. Pralay Sarkar enriches the song with meaningful verses, creating a dynamic narrative set amidst nature. The immersive sound design contributes to the overall richness of “Raat Holey,” dramatizing various emotions.
The culmination of these efforts resulted in an audio album now available on all streaming platforms, 26th January onwards accompanied by the release of each song in lyrical video format under a single playlist on YouTube.
