In 2013, Yash and Madhumita Sarcar catapulted into popularity and became household names as Aranya and Pakhi with their popular mega serial, Bojhena Se Bojhena. But despite popular demand, the duo never worked together after that. Now, after eight long years, they are coming back together on screen for a music video that will be directed by choreographer-filmmaker Baba Yadav. The song, titled O Mon Re, has been composed and sung by Tanveer Evan, a Bangladeshi musician, whose hit compositions like Ovimaan and Avijog, have long dominated the musical charts.
Yash and Madhumita, famously addressed as Yashmita by the fans, parted ways after they wrapped up their mega serial. According to sources in the industry, the duo had a fallout and deliberately avoided working with each other, that is, until they were coaxed by a Tollywood producer into giving their nod to the music video.
Talking about their on-screen pairing that boasts of a huge fan following, Yash said, “This was long due for our fans. They have been waiting to see us work together again after Bojhena Se Bojhena. I hope they will be happy to see us in the music video.”
Talking about the project, Baba said, “It’s a big responsibility to shoulder. People kept asking me when they will make a comeback and I’m glad that it’s happening. The music video will be a visual treat to Yash and Madhumita’s fans. It will showcase the love, the emotions and the changing realities of humans and how important it is to accept what life takes one through.”
The cinematography of the music video, that will be shot at a city studio today, is helmed by Soumik Halder.
