The time has finally arrived! X=Prem is definitely a new age romantic film that will reflect the beautiful shades of college romance but told in a different way,” Srijit had earlier said giving a peek into his film’s core concept.
Srijit along with Arjun Chakrabarty, Anindya Sengupta, Shruti Das, Barish, Saptak Sanai Das, and others were present during the emotionally-drenched tribute event. Joy Sarkar and Srijato were also there as special guests.
“It was shocking news to all of us. I had recorded a song with KK just a few months ago and now to hear this news was terrible. I think almost every person gets emotional listening to ‘Yaaron’. His songs can accompany you in any mood. It’s indeed a huge loss for our industry” said an emotional Srijit. The director also accompanied the singers on his mouth-organ paying fitting tribute to the late singer who passed away hours after performing at a concert in Kolkata on May 31. His last rites were performed on June 2 in Mumbai as members of the film and music fraternity paid their last respects.
The music of ‘X=Prem’ has been composed by Saptak Sanai Das who is making his debut as a music composer with the film. The lyrics have been penned by Barish, Srijit himself, and Dhrubojyoti Chakraborty. Interestingly, after a long time, Srijit wrote the lyrics for the song ‘Raikishori’.
