Why Mainak went for Rwitobroto at first hand in his detective thriller?

Mainak Bhaumik happily admits one of the reasons he decided to go for Rwitobroto Mukherjee as the protagonist of ‘Goyenda Junior’ was because he wanted to continue with the teenager’s saga.

“He was more confident this time than he was in Generation Aami. I have also got to know what to expect from him as a director, learned about his strengths and weaknesses more. When I was writing the script, I was also prepared to go ahead with him in mind. The more confident he is, the more relaxed I am,” explains Mainak who wants to concentrate on working with Rwitobroto as a team and only makes sure he doesn’t get out of the character.

Meanwhile, although Mainak is not a big fan of franchises; if he finds a better story, then there’s every possibility to pursue it in the future.

‘Goyenda Junior’ which stars Rwitobroto Mukherjee, Shantilal Mukherjee, Pushan Dasgupta and Anusha Viswanathan in the lead is releasing on September 20.
