Life on a film set is anything but uneventful. The only reprise that is on these exhausting shooting schedules is perhaps when the cast and crew take a meal break. While some the big stars may prefer to sit in their vans and have a quiet ‘healthy’ meal, but most often than not, this is good time for the entire team of a film to bond. And it was no different on the sets of Durgeshgorer Guptodhon.
While talking to a leading daily, the director of the film Dhrubo Banerjee spoke about how important food was on the sets of the film. “After each day’s shoot, we used to do shot division for the next day’s shoot. And just after that, there used to be a meeting on what would be the menu the next day.” He also said that the man-in-charge of this was his cinematographer Soumik Haldar. Apparently Haldar is a foodie and so there is no surprise that he was at the forefront of all the food planning.
Abir Chatterjee who plays the lead in the film, is also a lover of food and so is Anindya Chatterjee. The only odd one out was probably Arjun Chakraborty, but ironically, his character in the film Abir is a foodie! So invariably, food was an important element on the sets of the film.
All set to release this Friday, Durgeshgorer Guptodhon also stars Ishaa Saha, Kaushik Sen, Lily Chakraborty and Arindam Sil in pivotal roles. The film is produced under the SVF banner.
