What’s the story of next kakababu film?

Srijit Mukherji has already made two Kakababu films — ‘Mishawr Rawhoshyo’ and ‘Yeti Obhijaan’. While, the first film was a runaway hit, the second one received mixed reviews. And now, the third installment of Kakababu is set to release this Puja.

The adventure flick titled ‘Kakababur Protyaborton’ is based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s novel ‘Jongoler Modhye Ek Hotel’. The story follows Raja Roy Chowdhury aka Kakababu and his nephew, Santu, who go to Nairobi, Kenya, for a relaxed trip. There, they get hosted by a Bengali couple, Amal and Manju. He also gets an invite from an Africa-based Indian businessman and his partner to visit their hotel inside Maasai Mara forest. A few days before their arrival, some German tourists go missing from the hotel. What happens next forms the crux of the film.

Srijit, whose next ‘Dwitiyo Purush’ will release on January 23, was supposed to shoot the Kakababu film last year. But the project was pushed back and then the director started working on ‘Gumnaami’. Srijit will now start the shoot soon. A large portion of ‘Kakababur Protyaborton’ will be shot in Kenya and will see prosenjit Chatterjee in the titlular role while Aryann Bhowmik will reprise his Santu character.
