Uma Releases Nationally

Shree Venkatesh Films’s latest production Uma got a simultaneous release in West Bengal as well as the rest of the country. The film released in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Ranchi among other cities. It is creating a generous buzz among audiences.

Uma revolves around a young girl raised in Austria, who is battling a terminal disease. A story of hope and unity, it defines the uniqueness of the father-daughter bond.

Based on a true story, the film is directed by National Award winning director Srijit Mukherji. It stars Jisshu Sengupta, Anjan Dutt, Sayantika Banerjee, Srabanti, Anirban Bhattacharya and Rudranil Ghosh, and marks the debut of Jisshu Sengupta’s daughter Sara who plays the title role.
