Based on a real story
The film Uma is based on the true story of Evan Leversage, a Canadian boy suffering from cancer, and for whom the village of St. George, Ontario where he lived, came together to celebrate Christmas much ahead of December 25. The same story has been used in the film, only the setting his different. Instead of Christmas, the premise is that of Durga Puja and the locale is Kolkata.
Great music
Anupam Roy and Neel Dutt are the music directors and they have given the film six soulful songs that listeners are going to love. The songs are also apt and help in carrying forward the story of the film.
Superb casting
The film boasts of a great casting with talented actors like Jisshu Sengupta, Srabanti, Sayantika, Anirban Bhattacharya, Rudranil Ghosh, Babul Supriyo and others playing their parts excellently well.
