Tuhina Das To Share Screen Space With Jisshu Sengupta And Anirban Bhattacharya In ‘Ghawre Bairey Aaj’

Tuhina Das is going to share screen space with Jisshu Sengupta and Anirban Bhattacharya in ‘Ghawre Bairey Aaj’. The movie will be directed by national award winner director Aparna Sen.

The movie will be a modern day take on Rabindranath Tagore’s novel ‘Ghare Baire’. Ghawre Bairey is about the love triangle of Nikhilesh, his wife Bimala and his friend Sandip.

Tuhina Das will play Brinda in Aparna Sen’s film. Ghawre Bairey has been earlier also directed by Satyajit Ray and the character Bimala was played by Swatilekha Sengupta.

Talking about the movie, the actress said that playing an idealistic modern day young lady from Jharkhand will give her the chance to explore so many variations in acting. My character Brinda is not just Nikhilesh’s wife from the beginning; she has her own childhood, political ideology. With all these come the complexities in relationships, a love triangle.”

Anirban Bhattacharya will be essaying the role of Nikhilesh, Jisshu Sengupta will be seen as Sandip. In 1984 these two roles were played by Victor Banerjee and Soumitra Chatterjee respectively.Check out the poster here
