Trailer of Hoichoi’s ‘Mohanagar’ released

Popular OTT platform Hoichoi announced their next original series, “Mohanagar”, written and directed by Ashfaque Nipun, earlier this month. The full trailer of the eight-episode series was released today. The show will begin streaming on Hoichoi from June 25.

 “Mohanagar” features Mosharraf Karim as O C Harun, Zakia Bari Mamo as Shahana Huda, Shamol Mawla as Afnan Chowdhury, Mostafizur Noor Imran as Moloy Kumar and Khairul Basar as Abir Hasan. The cast also includes Lutfor Rahman George, Shahed Ali, Rukaia Jahan Chomok, Nishat Priom, Jibon Roy, Liton Chowdhury, and others. The series is produced by Shopnoghuri.

“I am excited for people to watch ‘Mohanagar’ because it is set in a realistic zone, with characters that we know from everyday life,” said Ashfaque Nipun in an earlier interaction with The Daily Star. “We meet them face-to-face, or read about them in newspapers. Be it O C Harun, Shahana Huda, Afnan Chowdhury, Moloy Kumar or Abir Hasan, I believe audiences will be able to relate to each character. The story is based on the situations that unfold when all these characters cross each other’s paths.”

The series will follow a seven-hour story inside a police station in Dhaka, where a mix of criminals, an eminent industrialist, the general public, and members of the press, are all waiting to know the fate of that night.
