Third season of Eken Babu set in Bangladesh

Viewers can stream the latest season on Hoichoi from Thursday

The 3rd season of detective series, Eken Babu will be available on Hoichoi, the on-demand video-streaming platform for Bangla contents.

This time the Bangali detective Eken Babu will explore his newfound audience in Dhaka as third season of the series, is called, Eken Babu O Dhaka Rahashya.

The viewers can stream the new season on Hoichoi from Thursday.

Anirban Chakrabarti, who plays Ekendra Sen or Eken Babu, told the Dhaka Tribune Showtime: “Throughout the first season Eken’s background remains a mystery. By the end of it we get to know that he is a detective from the police force, which was intended to be a shock reveal for everyone. His simplicity is part of his character, however, the stupid remarks he makes is all an act, so that nobody can understand what his detective mind is really thinking.

“Third season is set in Bangladesh. I have a lot of fans here who have shown me appreciation for the work I have done there. I hope they enjoy the new season as well.”

The series is directed by Abhijit Chowdhury who previously directed a Hoichoi original film Manbhanjan (adapted from the story of the same name by RabindranathTagore).

In Eken Babu O Dhaka Rahashya, Eken comes to Bangladesh to attend a Literary Meet to be held in Dhaka, with his two friends Bapi and Pramatha. As the story unfolds, Eken Babu gets busy to solve a murder mystery.
