The Reception of Shah Jahan Regency is Handled With Perfection by Parambrata and Abir !!!

The trailer of the Srijit Mukherji ‘s much anticipated Bengali film Shah Jahan Regency has been released. This is a contemporary adaptation of Bengali writer Shankar’s 1962 novel, Chowringhee. Based in Chowinghee in the 1950s, the story follows the journey of a young and enterprising man named Shankar. The novel also throws light on the socio-economic and political life of yesteryear Calcutta. A film has already been made many years ago on this novel. Srijit Mukherji will be showcasing the novel in modern perspective.

The film stars Parambrata Chattopadhyay , Abir Chatterjee , Anjan Dutta , Rituparna Sengupta , Swastika Mukherjee , Rittika Sen and Anirban Bhattacharya. It is produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni’s Shree Venkatesh Films Entertainment and Mukherji’s Matchcut Productions. Music has been given by Anupam Roy and Indraadip Das Gupta. The film is certainly going to rock the start of 2019 as it will be releasing on the 18th of January. So, mark your calendars and don’t miss the first show.
