Pratim all praise for Arjun after stellar act in ‘Love Aaj Kal Porshu’

Arjun Chakrabarty and Madhumita Sorcar’s undeniable chemistry is something to cherish in Pratim D Gupta’s recently released ‘Love Aaj Kal Porshu’. While Arjun is quirky and smart, Madhumita looks as fresh as a daisy. In fact, the way Arjun has brought in the varying shades in his act it floored the cine lovers. Pratim himself is all praise for the highly talented actor.

“Arjun is a terrific actor. I knew that because I had worked with him briefly in Maacher Jhol. He is sensitive, he is intuitive and he is a complete natural. Arjun has everything in him to become a hero in the kind of films we make; he doesn’t need to know how to dance around trees or how to somersault in the air before beating up villains. I remember sending him a message a day before we started shooting Love Aaj Kal Porshu – In this film you are not just an actor but also the hero,” said Pratim while explained why he cast Arjun in the lead.

The film, produced by SVF, is a sublime tale of two people where ‘love’ is seen as an instinct that can never change no matter how much life changes.

The director further adds the combination of Arjun and Madhumita is the best thing happened to ‘Love Aaj Kal Porshu’. “I always wanted Love Aaj Kal Porshu to be a young love story, a story that can look, feel and sound real and honest in 2020.” He adds, “Arjun and Madhumita are the best things to have happened to this film. As a director, the responsibility multiplies manifold when you are working with new and young actors. And I really enjoyed this responsibility. Both of them are keen to shine. It is not just another film for them. They have given their all. Climbing mountains, swimming rivers, whatever it took,” said the director showering praise on Tollywood’s new jodi.
