Bengali cinema had worked on our iconic leader <strong”>Subhas Chandra Bose only once and to fill in that void Srijit Mukherji is making his next ‘Gumnaami’. The upcoming mystery thriller has already grabbed headlines. Produced by SVF, it will largely focus on Bose’s sudden disappearance and will try to delve deep into the mystery surrounding ‘Gumnami Baba’ who has often been rumored to be Netaji himself.
Srijit was recently seen doing the recce for his dream project in Ayodhya as he kept his fans on the loop regularly sharing pictures from his location hunting experience. He was in Faizabad as well for the same. Recently, Anuj Dhar the writer of ‘India’s Biggest Cover Up’ shared a video in which we see Srijit’s visit to the Faizabad house where Gumnami Baba used to live.
He captioned it: “The national award-winning filmmaker visits the outhouse in Faizabad, where Gumnami Baba lived from 1983 to 1985. Shakti Singh is showing him around. Srijit Mukherji is making a movie titled “Gumnami”, which is based on “Conundrum: Subhas Bose’s life after death” – a soon-to-be released book by Chandrachur Ghose and myself.”
The film draws inspiration from Anuj Dhar and Chandrachur Ghosh’s bestselling book ‘CONUNDRUM, Subhas Bose’s Life After Death’ and Prosenjit Chatterjee is set to play the titular role.
