Shaheb sings for Pratim’s film

He had rendered the title song of Pratim D Gupta’s Maacher Jhol. And now, he has done it one more time for the director’s upcoming venture, Love Aaj Kal Porshu. Actor Shaheb Chattopadhyay, who is also a well-known singer, took to social media to share the good news. “After celebrating grand success of film ‘Macher Jhol’,where i got a chance to sing the title-Je tore pagol bole….here’s my second playback for director Pratim D Gupta for his next…thank you pratim (sic),” he wrote. About collaborating with the director, Shaheb said he has always been a big admirer of his works. “Pratim was present at the studio and just made me understand the situation. After the first take, I insisted that we go for a second one. Once that was done, he said the song was locked,” recalled Shaheb. The film has two composers — Arindom Chatterjee and Abhijit — and Shaheb’s song is scored by the latter. The actor, who has watched Maacher Jhol over 10 times, is all praise for him. “He is an extremely composed and cool-headed person. He is also very talented and we gel really well. I can speak to him about everything under the sun, as he is well-read. I watched Maacher Jhol so many times not just because I sang for it, but the content really touches your heart. I love his story-telling and am also very fond of his yet another directorial, Shaheb Bibi Golaam,” he said. Love Aaj Kal Porshu stars Arjun Chakrabarty and Madhumita Sarcar in the lead.
