Sayani Gupta in Arindam Sil’s upcoming thriller

Sayani Gupta is already a well-known face in Bollywood with critically acclaimed films like ‘Margarita With A Straw’, ‘Fan’, ‘Jagga Jassos’, and ‘Jolly LLB’ in her kitty. Now, the talented actress is set for her debut in Bengali cinema with Arindam Sil’s next. According to industry sources, the model-turned-actress who has often called herself a big fan of Arindam Sil is on-board to play a pivotal role in this woman-centric thriller.

There will be another female lead for which the ‘Byomkesh Gowtro’ director has reportedly approached Raima Sen. What’s more interesting is Arindam’s favorite Abir Chatterjee might essay an important role in this upcoming thriller. Shooting for this film will start in February next year.

Arindam Sil had earlier insisted Bengali cinema hasn’t seen a hardcore thriller movie like the one he is making next. It would be really interesting to see Arindam shifting his focus from the detective genre as for the past few years it’s been his comfort zone. He is also working on a project about Bengali cinema’s 100 years. If all goes according plan, the film will be released next year.
