During the shoot of Shabbir Mallick’s debut film , Bhoot Chaturdashi, the entire unit had a frightening experience. The film, based on four friends, is itself a horror. Mainak Bhaumik has penned the story of this film and he is also the creative director.
Talking about the experience, the crew members said that the shoot was taking place in Bolpur. The deserted old house they were shooting in was ideal for the film. It was a shot where radio jockey turned actor Deepsheta Mitra was holding a firecracker. Suddenly, someone pulled her hand and the cracker fell on the floor. It is still not clear who did that because none of the crew members was close enough to her.
The story revolves around a group of friends who go on a road trip and end up in a haunted house. They want to shoot a documentary. However, things start getting messy when they enter the house. What happens next forms the crux of the film. Mainak himself is a fan of horror movies.
Shabbir Mallick, who had assisted Mainak earlier is his directorial debut, is debuting as a director with this film. Just like the director, the lead cast also belongs to the next generation. The four leads are Aryann Bhowmik, Ena Saha, Deepsheta Mitra and Soumendra Bhattacharya.
