Puja to shoot item number for Bibaho Obhijaan

Puja Banerjee will be shooting an item number for Birsa Dasgupta’s film, Bibaho Obhijaan, which stars Sohini Sarkar, Anirban Bhattacharya, Priyanka Sarkar, Rudranil Ghosh and Nusrat Faria.

Puja, who has done an item number in Raj Chakrabarty’s Proloy, is excited to be part of Birsa’s film. “I love to dance and the way Birsa has conceptualised the song is fantastic. I will be wearing a ghagra choli in the dance sequence and the song is melodious and peppy at the same time,” said the actress.

The film is a rom-com revolving around three couples and the drama that unfolds after they get married. It also shows that at the end of the day, it is love that binds them together.

“Anirban plays a dacoit sardar in the film. The item song comes in a sequence where he is having fun with his friends. Puja, I feel, is a brilliant dancer and will do justice to the song sung by Shreya Ghoshal. I guess this is Shreya’s first item number for a Bengali film. The lyrics are by Srijato while the music is composed by Jeet Gannguli. The song will be shot in a mill,” said Birsa.
