‘Phire Elo Kakababu’ song calls for new adventure in the wild landscapes of Africa

The song ‘Phire Elo Kakababu’ from Srijit Mukherji’s upcoming film Kakababur Protyaborton (2022) is a fitting tribute to Prosenjit Chatterjee’s Kakababu and his heroism while combating his enemies.

Set in stunning locations in Kenya, this Indraadip Dasgupta composition, sung by Rupam Islam, calls for another adventure with Kakababu that will add to the glory of the fictional adventurer’s achievements.

While the visuals depict Kakababu and his sidekick Santu (Aryann Bhowmick) exploring the landscape of East Africa, often in the proximity of exotic and ferocious animals, the lyrics by Srijato hail Kakababu as brave and undaunted as the native people despite being a Bengali, and capable of dealing with those who dare to threaten him even in a land infested with danger.

In the dense forests, through the strong river currents and also while gliding in the sky in hot-air balloons, Kakababu seems to be owning himself. While spending nights in the tents, his hands don’t tremble while defending Santu and himself with a revolver; neither do his physical limitations stop him from undertaking several challenges in his mission.

While the tune will appeal to teenagers as well as adults, Rupam Islam’s voice perfectly complements the song’s energetic essence and brings a freshness to it, conveying the beginning of a new chapter in the series of Kakababu’s missions.
