After being in home confinement for nearly eight months, veteran actor Paran Bandopadhyay has finally decided to step out and complete dubbing for Tonic, directed by Abhijit Sen. The actor is also getting ready to start shooting for Bob Biswas, directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh, on December 9. “I was enjoying this nine-month sabbatical and I read and wrote a lot during this period. I am a very positive person at heart. I knew I was staying at home for my own safety. I knew I’d face the spotlight once again! Yesterday’s British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted that the vaccine for COVID 19 will soon be made available across the UK. That was like a ray of hope for us too. I believe, patience is the keyword in life,” said the actor. We hear Paran is playing a role of a homeopathy doctor in Bob Biswas. When quizzed, the actor said, “I am not supposed to say a word about my character. All I can say I play a doctor’s role in this film.”
Is he excited to share the screen with Abhishek Bachchan, who plays the lead in Bob Biswas? “As I come from a theatre background, I try to work with any actor as a unit. My only focus is on how to make the scene better and not on my co-actor,” explained the actor. Paran will also start his theatre workshop from January. “I don’t believe acting workshops can be done via online classes. I personally feel there should be eye contacts and for that we will start our classes early next year, keeping the safety measures in mind,” said Paran.
