After ‘Bhaijaan Elo Re’ Shakib Khan is all set for another double role in his next ‘Naqaab’.
Directed by Rajiv Biswas, the horror thriller is touted to be a remake of Tamil hit ‘Massu Engira Masilamani’ (2015).
The Bangladeshi superstar will play both the protagonist Mass and his deceased father Shakti, who comes back to his son’s life as a troubled spirit. While Nusrat Jahan will be seen as Disha, the love interest of Mass, Sayantika Banerjee will take on the role of Shakti’s wife and mother of Mass, Anuradha.
Ahead of the film’s release on August 24, the makers have launched the trailer of ‘Naqaab’ and it looks every bit intriguing.
The trailer promises an action-packed thriller with many twists, romance and even a touch of comedy. The return of Shakti as a spirit doesn’t actually give spine-chilling moments. Instead, it seems to be unintentionally funny, as per the trailer.
According to the narrative, Mass and his close friend (Rudranil Ghosh) are by profession, con artists. After an accident, Mass suddenly starts to communicate with ghosts and life becomes fun for him. That’s until he meets his deceased father Shakti, who in a shocking turn of events changes his life completely.
‘Naqaab’ also stars Kharaj Mukherjee, topic/Ashish-Vidyarthi”>Ashish Vidyarthi Bharat Kaul and Rajatava Dutta in pivotal roles.
