Renowned Bangladeshi singer Minar Rahman has made his debut in the Kolkata film industry, with the song “Eka Din” in the film “Frida.” The song has garnered more than 800,000 views on YouTube in the four days since its release on June 14.
“Fida” is being produced by Sree Venkatesh Films and directed by Pathikrit Basu. The film stars Yash, Sanjana Banerjee, Anindya Chatterjee, Sairity Banerjee, and RJ Sayan, among others. “Eka Din” was penned by Prasen, and its music was directed by Arindam Chatterjee. The latter was the one who contacted Minar for the song, which was recorded in Dhaka.
In the Bangladesh music industry, Minar rose to fame with songs such as “Shada” and “Ahare”. He has lent his vocals for three films so far: “Ice Cream” by Redoan Rony, “Jajabor” and, most recently, “Nayok”.
