He had done a negative role years ago in ‘Kanamachi’ and people loved it. After all these years, Abir Chatterjee will be seen in a negative role for the second time in his career. Yes, we are talking about Mainak Bhaumik’s much-anticipated ‘Bornoporichoy’ which sees Abir as Arka, a cold-blooded killer with a typical gentleman image. Arka is on a face-off with a cop who has lost everything in his life and its Jisshu Sengupta plotted against Abir.
What was the biggest challenge in playing a negative role in ‘Bornoporichoy’, we asked Abir to which the Tollywood heartthrob says it’s the monologues that gave him a tough time.
“I had to deliver so many monologues. Jisshu has more silent moments in this film. Because of these monologues I had to more careful with a few things. I didn’t want them to look like boring or preachy. Plus, my character is a bit witty as well. So, it was also part of our preparations.” said Abir.
‘Bornoporichoy’, produced by SVF, also has Priyanka Sarkar playing Jisshu Sengupta’s on-screen wife. The story revolves around the killer and a cop like a cat and mouse game. ‘Bornoporichoy’ is slated for a July 26 release.
