Hoichoi Gears Up With Yet Another Dauntless Subject Titled ‘CHARITRAHEEN’

Since its inception only, Hoichoi has been quite a rage among its audiences. The app which has been launched just a few months back is making noises for all the right reasons – thanks to its wide array of stories to satiate different moods and tastes, innovative subjects and a unique presentation style.

The app which is currently the largest digital content platform in Bengal, has experimented with bold and unconventional themes a plenty. Hello, Dupur Thakurpo are few such examples. Recently, Hoichoi has announced its latest web series – Charitraheen . The brand new content again centers around the most favored genre of Debaloy Bhattacharya (the director) – steamy and bold. The posters which were released not so long ago testify the gutsy and undaunted nature of the subject! The plot has been adapted from Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s story of the same name.

The unveiling of the poster set many tongues wagging with it carrying the image of an alluring lady, her face shrouded in darkness with multiple hands trying to grope her. This had lead to many speculations which was put to rest by the makers themselves, yesterday. The posters were unleashed in a very novel way. The filmmaker presented each member by flipping the pages of a book and revealing their “look” in the series. The enigmatic lady, making our hearts thump aloud is Naina Ganguly, a very popular face in Bollywood. Gourab Chatterjee, Saayoni Ghosh and Sourav Das are roped in to play the other significant characters.

This project is very much an awaited one and will be streaming around August. Though inspired from the noted writer’s short story, the narration will see streaks of Debalay’s own imagination and interpretations and will churn out the true nature of the principal four characters viz, Kiranmoye, Harious, Satish and Sabitri. The dark tale of a few befuddled souls in a quest to discover their true nature will surely be lauded by the cerebral viewers. It waits to be seen that who eventually gets tagged as the ultimate ‘Charitraheen’ and what fate the other character’s meet.
